Непересічна подія відбулася у Катедральному соборі Різдва Пресвятої Богородиці. Для постійного перебування в храмі прибули мощі нещодавно канонізованого святого Карло Акутіса.
Карло Акутіс — юнак нашого часу, який жив звичайним життям підлітка, однак своєю щирою любов’ю до Євхаристії та глибокою вірою став прикладом для мільйонів людей у всьому світі. Він часто говорив, що Євхаристія — це «дорога до неба», і саме навколо Христа, присутнього в Пресвятих Дарах, будував своє життя. Використовуючи сучасні технології, Карло створив онлайн-виставку про євхаристійні чуда, прагнучи, щоб якомога більше людей пізнали живого Бога.
Оселення його мощей у нашому храмі є великим даром для всієї парафіяльної спільноти. Відтепер кожен матиме можливість прийти, помолитися перед мощами, довірити святому свої намірення, подякувати за отримані ласки та просити його заступництва. Особливо запрошуємо дітей та молодь, адже постать Карло є надзвичайно близькою саме їм — він показує, що святість можлива не десь далеко, а тут і тепер, у звичайному щоденному житті.
Мощі святого прибули до парафії в середу, 25-го лютого, де їх радісно зустріла парафіяльна спільнота, а діти та молодь підготували спеціальну програму зустрічі. Торжества продовжилися в неділю, 1 березня. Екзарх Луцький Кир Йосафат Говера очолив Архиєрейську Божественну Літургію та молебен до святого Карло Акутіса, а опісля благословив усіх присутніх мощами.
Дякуємо всім, хто долучився до того, аби зробити можливим перебування мощей святого Карло Акутіса у нашому храмі та організувати достойну зустріч.
Нехай приклад святого Карло Акутіса надихає нас до частішої участі в Божественній Літургії, до глибшої молитви та до сміливого свідчення віри у світі. Просімо, щоб через його заступництво Господь укріпив наші родини, благословив дітей і молодь, а нашу парафію зробив ще живішою та відкритішою до Божої благодаті.
Arrival of the Relics of Saint Carlo Acutis
An extraordinary event took place at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God. The relics of the recently canonized Saint Carlo Acutis have arrived for permanent veneration in the church.
Carlo Acutis was a young man of our time who lived the ordinary life of a teenager, yet through his sincere love for the Eucharist and his deep faith became an example for millions of people around the world. He often said that the Eucharist is “the highway to Heaven,” and he built his life around Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament. Using modern technology, Carlo created an online exhibition about Eucharistic miracles, desiring that as many people as possible come to know the living God.
The installation of his relics in our church is a great gift for the entire parish community. From now on, everyone will have the opportunity to come, pray before the relics, entrust their intentions to the saint, give thanks for graces received, and ask for his intercession. We especially invite children and young people, as Carlo’s witness is particularly close to them — he shows that holiness is possible not somewhere far away, but here and now, in everyday life.
The relics arrived at the parish on Wednesday, February 25, where they were joyfully welcomed by the parish community, and the children and youth prepared a special welcoming program. The celebrations continued on Sunday, March 1. Bishop Josaphat Hovera, Exarch of Lutsk, presided over the Divine Liturgy and a prayer service to Saint Carlo Acutis, after which he blessed all those present with the relics.
We thank everyone who contributed to making the presence of Saint Carlo Acutis’ relics in our church possible and to organizing a worthy reception.
May the example of Saint Carlo Acutis inspire us to participate more frequently in the Divine Liturgy, to deepen our prayer life, and to bear courageous witness to our faith in the world. Through his intercession, may the Lord strengthen our families, bless our children and youth, and make our parish ever more vibrant and open to God’s grace.
